Most morning briefs are newsletters. Someone else decides what happened in the world and sends you eight hundred words about it. That is fine for the world. It is not much use for your Tuesday.
Waveloom's morning brief is built from your own tools. It is the answer to a narrower question: what happened in my Gmail, my Slack, my Linear, my HubSpot, my calendar and my watches while I was not looking, and what should I do first?
Once a day, when there is something to say
The brief arrives as one card at the start of your day. It summarizes up to 16 selected cards from the last 24 hours, including cards you have already approved and pending approvals among the selection. You do not need to read it at 07:00. It waits in the feed.
There is at most one per day. It is not re-sent, and there is no evening edition. If fewer than three cards make the selection and none has a pending approval, there is no brief at all. A brief that only shows up when it has earned it is the point.
What is in it
A short summary. Selected activity from the last 24 hours, in a few lines, including pending approvals on the selected cards.
One priority. The single thing Waveloom thinks you should do first. Not a list of five. One. Usually the needs-you card with the most at stake, or the thread that has been waiting longest.
A short note from the agent. A sentence or two of context on the overnight picture.
By source, when it helps. A line per connected tool or watch about what was surfaced from it. If a watch turned up nothing, there is no line for it.
Short by design
The brief is meant to take under a minute. It does not pad. If there was nothing worth saying overnight, it is skipped rather than written. It may mention a card you already approved, as part of the day's picture. It does not include news, weather, or anything that did not come from a source you connected.
The counts of what Waveloom reviewed and surfaced live in the feed header, not in the brief.
Built from your sources
Everything in the brief traces back to something Waveloom read in a tool you connected or a watch you set up. Each item links to the card or the source. Nothing is pulled from a general feed, and nothing is written from Waveloom's own opinion of the day.
If you disconnect a source, Waveloom stops reading it and clears the raw data it pulled from it. Cards already in your feed stay.
Quiet hours
The brief respects quiet hours like everything else. If it lands inside your quiet hours, the notification is suppressed rather than sent later. The card is still in the feed when you open it.
Where this stands
Waveloom is an invite-only founding beta. The morning brief runs today, once a day, when there is enough to say. What it chooses as the one priority, how it phrases the summary, and the bar for skipping a quiet night are being tuned with early users.
