Meeting preparation from your connected tools

Ask Waveloom chat for recent decisions, relevant conversations and open questions before a call. Review the sources and build a short agenda without assuming an automatic meeting brief.

Five minutes before a call, you remember the topic but not the last decision. The answer might be in an email, a project issue or the document someone shared on Tuesday.

This is a useful moment for a focused question in Waveloom chat. Ask for the context you need, inspect what it finds and decide what belongs on the agenda.

Meeting preparation here is an on-demand use of chat, not a separate feature that automatically prepares a brief for every calendar event.

Give the question a boundary

Name the customer or project, the connected app and a time window. A narrow request is easier to verify than "tell me everything I should know."

For example:

"Find the latest emails with Northstar about the onboarding pilot. Summarize the decisions and unanswered questions, with links to the messages."

Northstar is an illustrative name. Replace it with the actual person or project you are meeting about. Search results depend on the account, its permissions and the tools available for that connection. If the information is not accessible, provide the relevant context yourself or open the source app.

Separate facts from things to ask

A useful preparation note has three short parts:

  1. Confirmed context: what the source actually says, with its date and link.
  2. Open questions: points that remain unclear or need a decision.
  3. Your objective: what you want to leave the meeting knowing or agreeing.

If an email says "we may need ten seats," that is a question about likely usage, not an agreed contract size. If an issue says "targeting Friday," check whether that is still the plan before repeating it as a commitment.

Ask a second, focused question if needed:

"Show the recent Linear issues for the onboarding project. Which updates mention the import flow?"

Keep the result tied to the records it found. Waveloom is not guaranteed to retrieve every relevant item or reconstruct a complete account history.

Turn the context into a short agenda

You might leave with three lines: confirm the pilot audience, resolve the import question, and agree who will verify the next step. Those are your meeting decisions, not actions Waveloom takes on its own.

This preparation flow does not join or record the call, infer agreements from a meeting it did not hear, or move anything on your calendar. A separate supported action requested through chat needs your approval before execution.

Use the right kind of summary

The morning brief summarizes selected recent feed activity. It is not a substitute for an account-specific check before a meeting. Use chat when you have a particular question; use the feed for incoming updates worth reviewing.

For decisions that are holding up delivery, see project blockers. If you are still choosing what to connect, start with one source.
